Light Jogger- 7"x10' watercolour

The undulating line of a wire fence, and path drawing to follow.

Morning light lights dogwood and vines in oranges and burgundy.

Blue sky and trees reflected in puddles and ice as runner passes.

Wavy, fluctuating, pulsating shadows cast over ground and snow of trail.

Breaking Ice 10"x7" watercolour

Breaking ice of a late winter thaw cracking and thundering.

Slab patterning an abstract checker board design over expanse.

Far shore reflected as low clouds nibble at edges.

The giant awakes from a deep, deep, sleep.

Marina Before the Storm-7"x10" watercolour

Dull muted light hints of approaching cold snowy storm.

Ice and mud on the puddled lane mirrors moody sky.

Anchored held on their mounts stand tented and snow covered boats.

Mast daggers pointing high standing on guard.

Gull Salute-10"x7" watercolour

Sudden thaw brought a inch of water over ice where seagulls stand in formation.

They seem to be saluting the morning sun their reflections in the water.

Normally gulls are crass and vulgar with crackling calls  over food but here are serene, noble.

Majestic and elegant praising the coming day.
